Newsletter launch! And some free holiday stories
The big news for this month is that I have launched my free monthly newsletter! It’s a roundup of recent happenings in my writing life, plus some exclusive content just for subscribers.
The December newsletter has an article about fetches, also known as apparitions of the living, which play a large part in the novel I’m writing, Forewarning. (It’s based on a short story you can read here). And there is a link to read the first chapter of Mythic, my original serial romance which will start posting Jan 6. So if you’d like an advance look at Mythic, you can sign up for the newsletter here. Your email will never be shared with anyone else.
And as we are in the holiday season, I wanted to highlight a couple of free stories that you can find on my website (and on my Ao3). I’ve been releasing an original queer holiday romance for all of two years now, so I guess that makes it a tradition.
This year’s story is The Melody Man. An actor giving holiday tours at an 1880’s mansion finds love…and something ghostly. I based this story on the lyrics from the Christmas carol It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year:
There’ll be scary ghost stories, and tales of the glories of Christmases long long ago
Don’t worry, this story’s not very scary, though!
Last year’s story is Our Music. A winter storm and a sprig of mistletoe derail the plans of a janitor who thinks he’s not good enough for his best friend and neighbor, a young virtuoso violinist. (Note this one contains explicit love scenes.)
Thanks for reading! I hope you have a wonderful month to come.
