Dannye Chase enjoys writing in many different genres, including romance, horror, and disaster fiction, as well as poetry, personal essays, and song lyrics. She also invents fanciful biographies for adoptable dogs and cats at her local animal shelter.
Dannye is looking for an agent to help her publish a 115,000 word single-title romance, The Phantom Island. Dannye is also working on the third book of a trilogy of superhero romances, the Flight series (synopses and excerpts from book 1, 2, and 3). Another current project is a disaster novel about a fire in a night club. In 2002, Dannye published a young adult novel, Bloodchild.
Dannye lives in Iowa with her family, including husband, children, dogs, frogs, a gecko, and a salamander. When she is not writing, she is usually doing needlework or singing (or both). Dannye works in child care and volunteers as a music therapist. She also enjoys running and swimming.
